NSE momentum – Strategy 1 & 2
—
Strategy 1 – Bullish momentum
08:41 top 10 (8-point score) → 09:30 confirmation: gap-up open and 9:15 candle closing above the trigger, ≤5% past it. Stop −0.75%, target +1%, exit by 3:15.
Strategy 2 – Intraday breakout
Quiet yesterday (range ≤4.5%), opens inside it, then a completed 15-min candle closes above yesterday's high and VWAP on ≥4× volume, ≤6% up. Stop max(yday high −0.5%, −2%), T1 +2% (stop → entry), T2 +4% (trail below VWAP).
How the strategies work
Strategy 1 – Bullish momentum
- 08:41 – yesterday's strong NSE movers (₹100+, ₹10 cr+ turnover, not near upper circuit) are scored out of 8: RSI 60–75, volume ≥1.5× average, up day, close in the top 30% of the range, above SMA20 and SMA50, SMA20 above SMA50 and rising. The top 10 are kept; trigger = yesterday's high.
- 09:30 – Confirmed only if it opened above yesterday's close and the 9:15 candle closed above the trigger, no more than 5% past it.
- Stop −0.75% · target +1% · square-off 3:15.
- Quiet yesterday (range ≤4.5%) and today opens inside that range.
- Signal = first completed 15-minute candle (9:15–2:30) that closes above yesterday's high and VWAP on ≥4× normal volume, while ≤6% up on the day.
- Stop = higher of yesterday's high −0.5% or entry −2% · T1 +2% (stop moves to entry) · T2 +4% (exit on first 15-min close below VWAP). Already 3% past entry = “Late – don't chase”.
